Swimming pool and garden A country house is indivisible from its outdoor space and gardens. Also at the Roccafiore Wine Resort & Spa, the symbiosis is total, with the gardens gently following the seasonal variations. The passages between the interior and exterior have been emphasised by openings and paths, in which the characters of the buildings expand beyond to merge with those of the gardens, from the terrace that opens onto Todi and the quaint colourful gardens that connect the buildings. The gardens naturally lead up to the swimming pool, with the unfurling of the elongated ridge underlined by rows of olive trees, elegant extents of lavender, oleanders, hydrangeas, agapanthus and roses, until reaching the swimming pool, as a hinge between the gardens and vineyards.
From the infinity pool, it is possible to admire the vineyards of Moscato, with their serpentine border accentuating the sweetness of the territory, flanked by the vineyards of Sangiovese that calmly descend along the micro-terraced slope with a great panoramic effect. But above all, the fascinating scenery of Todi—romantically animated by bell towers and medieval palaces—can be admired from the outdoor swimming pool. Not far from the terrace of the Fiorfiore Restaurant is a small but rich botanical garden, in which Chef Carlo Grimaldi forages each day in search of the perfect botanicals with which to embellish the dishes. This small corner of perfumes and colours has been studied with care and dedication, preserving a rich variety of aromas, including some 20 different types of basil and mint.
